Dear Friends, After prayerful consideration, I have accepted the role of Evangelism Team Leader. My name is Aubrey Wilson.  I attend First Baptist Church East Flat Rock.  With your prayer support and your help,  we can reach out to our neighbors with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Let me share just a few ideas that Dr. Beck and I have talked about.       1. To plan and hold a major crusade in the Hendersonville area at least once every 2-4 years.     2. To hold an outreach event at least once every quarter.     3. To train the members of our churches how to share their faith with others, and to do just that.   Some of the events already in the planning stage:     1. Gospel singing during the Apple Festival.     2. Hendersonville Christmas Parade.     3. Christian movie nights at a local theater.     4. Music festival at Jackson Park on July 4th.     5. Sponsor a night with the Visitor Center's "Music on Main".     6. Back to school bash for youth     7. Your suggestions here..............   These events are just to get us started. There are many other opportunities available to us, we simply need to become involved.  It is my belief, to truly reach out to the people in our community, we must get involved in our community.  We must get out of our church buildings, and into the streets.  We only need to look at our Lord's example to see this in action.  After all, the great commission begins with the simplest action word, GO!  I am looking for people who are willing to join with others in prayer and the sharing of the gospel with our neighbors.  If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved, please contact the Association office or me directly.   Aubrey Wilson, 1000 Kerr Rd.
