Find It Here:  Expanding the Kingdom 2012 is the third year of a three-year focus on evangelism, discipleship and missions mobilization. In 2012 NC Baptists are challenged to live missional lives in their community, state, nation and world with the Gospel of Christ.
How can my church participate?  First, to continue making disciples in your community, plan now for an Easter Evangelism Emphasis in 2012 and continue focusing on life-transformational discipleship through the ministries of your church.  Second, commit today to lead your church to create her own customized Acts 1:8 mission strategy to reach her world with the Gospel of Christ.
How do I find resources?  Go to http://2012.finditherenc.org.  This website provides all of the resources you will need to help you create your Acts 1:8 mission strategy.
How do I sign up?  You can sign up at the website, call 800-395-5102, ext. 5571 or email findithere@ncbaptist.org.

Bethlehem Toy Store
An annual ministry of Carolina Baptist Association to children of families that cannot provide Christmas gifts due to financial difficulties. Because of you, last year we ministered to 49 families and provided Christmas gifts to 108 children!

We have a toy drive in July and collect NEW toys for children ages birth to 16.  If your church is interested bring toys to the Association office in August.  Office hours are M-Th, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. We also take gift cards and money to buy toys.

Of course, we will accept toys anytime during the year.  Toys are distributed the first Friday in December.  We also need help with distribution and witnessing.

If you would like to have someone come to your church and speak about the Bethlehem Toy Store call Annette Heatherly at 828-290-2584.

Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute
Here is a great opportunity for your church to reach out to our immediate community.  There are families at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute that could use help with groceries due to financial need.  This would be an ongoing ministry.  It's a great opportunity for a Sunday school class or another small group.  Maybe a box of groceries a month, grocery store gift cards, meal cards, etc.
Call Bobby Garrett at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute at 685-8886 for more information.

Joy Singers (Senior Adults)
There is a need for additional singers with the Joy Singers.  If you like to sing we would love to have you join us each week.  No audition is necessary.  We meet every Tuesday at the Carolina Baptist Association, 601 Hebron Street, at 2:00 p.m. to practice.  Then we go to a local nursing home for a 30 minute program.  It is a blessing both to those singing and to those listening!  Call Marguerite at 290-7525.

School Food Program
This program provides food to school children who are on the free or reduced lunch program to help supplement their diet on the weekend.  The food in these packs consist of convenience foods supplied by various churches and organizations.  Over 50% (about 7,000) of students in Henderson County are on free or reduced lunch programs.  Over 500 children are participating in this program at this time.  We have seen the need increase drastically in the past few years.

There is also a need for new or gently used clothing, underwear and socks.

Call Pete Davis at 828-696-2114.

Care Pillows
Care pillows is a ministry for children who are in a traumatic situation.  They are given to the police department, fire department and emergency medical technicians to give to children as the need arises.  What we need:  Small toys, books or small stuffed toys, juvenile fabric, small pillows, sewers to make pillow cases or pillows.  If you are interested, call 828-693-4274.
