Carolina Baptist Association - March 15th marks the 10 yr. anniversary for Sandy Beck as our Director of Missions.  A reception for Sandy will be March 21st, CBA lower level, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  If you would like to write a note of appreciation or encouragement, you may send it to the attention of Linda Marie or Paula at the CBA office, 601 Hebron St., Hendersonville, NC, 28739

Refuge - A DVD of Refuge Baptist Church history was presented at homecoming in October.  The one hour 10 minute video contains pictures, pastors, and churches from 1847-2009.  It can be purchased for $20.  Call Carolyn Brown at 693-4393.

Straightway moved their location at the end of December, 2009, to 636 Greenville Hwy., near Haus Heidelberg German Restaurant. 

FBC Tryon called Rev. Jeff Harris as their pastor in November 2009.

BAPTIST CHILDRENS HOMES FOSTER HOMES CARE - BCH is expanding its array of services to include providing foster homes to children in need in the Western Area.  Committed, Christian families are being sought to serve as foster parents.  If you are interested in opening up your home to this service, please contact Vicki Buckner at 828-627-9254 or email her at vmbuckner@bchfamily.org.  Please pray for this ministry of "helping hurting children...healing broken families."  www.bchfamily.org

BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOME FOOD ROUNDUP In April, the CBA will be collecting boxed and canned food, supplies, and gift cards for the Broyhill Baptist Children's Home in Clyde.  Please bring your donations to the CBA office by Tuesday, April 20th. 

BUCKETS OF HOPE If you would like to help the people of Haiti you can put together a bucket of food that will be delivered to Haiti for you by the NC Baptist Men.  Deadline to have at association office is Thursday, February 25. CARE PILLOWS-Care pillows is a new ministry for children who are in a traumatic situation.  They are given to the police department, fire department and emergency medical technicians to give to children as the need arises.  What we need:  Small toys, books or small stuffed toys, juvenile fabric, small pillows, sewers to make pillow cases or pillows.  If you are interested, call 693-4274.

HANDS OF HOPE, Orphan Ministry of FBC Hendersonville announces its orphan sponsorship program through Children's Hope Chest.  This has been a wonderful opportunity for individual families of FBC to get involved in an orphan's life to give them the blessings of God and family.  If interested in partnering with FBC H'ville's Hands of Hope Ministry, please contact Justin Rhodes at 828-651-9827 or rlrhodes@bellsouth.net. 

IRS STANDARD MILEAGE RATE - Beginning January 1, 2010, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car 50 cents per mile.

OPERATION BANDANA - SOLDIER'S PSALM 91 The Associational WMU has an on-going ministry to servicemen to offer inspiration, encouragement, strength and comfort.  Camouflage bandana's are purchased in bulk for $3 each with Psalm 91 printed on them.  These bandana's are given to service men and women by chaplains to spread the gospel and are useful to cover their face from the sand and dust; are used for sweat rags; used for an emergency wrap for a splint, sling or tourniquet.  This is an easy way for us to show our appreciation and minister to those who are putting their life in harms way for America.  Please write a check to Carolina Baptist Association and earmark it:  Operation Bandana.  If you have any questions, call Annette Heatherly at 290-2584.  Visit www.operationbandanas.org to learn more about the Psalm 21 bandana ministry.
