About Double Springs
We are a conservative Southern Baptist church and believe in the mission of
the Cooperative Program. We are also interested in spreading the gospel
through any means available. We have made mission trips and collected
for special mission projects. When we meet, it is for the purpose of
worship. We seek to exalt the name of Jesus Christ with the hope of
drawing people to him. We have a traditional style of worship and use
mostly Southern Gospel music. It is our desire to win souls to Christ,
nurture the saints and be a healing station for those who are hurting.
Double Springs Baptist Church was chartered on July 15, 1871. Originally
a log cabin was erected and served as a meeting place until a new church was
completed in May 1883. Our present building was begun on October 25,
1924. The men of the church quarried the rock for the columns and
foundation. The church was a charter member of the Carolina Baptist
Association and served as host for its organizing in 1877. A fellowship
building was constructed in 1972 and remodeled in 1998. Many great men
of God have pastored or preached at our church. At present, we are
praying for revival and seeking ways to serve God and reach the lost for Jesus
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We
would like to personally invite you to attend our church. We meet in
the name of Jesus for the purpose of exalting and worshiping him.
It is our desire that God's Holy Word becomes
alive to those who hear. It is our desire to present Jesus as Savior,
Lord, and King. We hope to lift Him up so that all praise and glory is
given to Him. It our prayer that souls will be saved and the church be
strengthened by what comes from the pulpit and that God's inspired,
inerrant, Holy word is presented in a clear way.
