About Fruitland
Fruitland is a traditional country church that has been closely
identified with the SBC and its mission efforts. Although the church is
traditional in its worship and other activities, we also endeavor to be on the
cutting edge of ministry. Our objective is "to know Christ and to
make Christ known."
Fruitland began in 1875 as Green Mountain Baptist Church. Began
to meet at the present location in 1946. FBC has been a strong church in
Carolina Association leading in missions and mission education.
About the Pastor
Three children, Dustin born May 1976, Jennifer born January 1979 and
Daniel born April 1985. Came to Fruitland in June 1991. Graduate
of Fruitland Bible Institute, Mars Hill College (B.A.), Southern Seminary (M.Div.);
Native of Marion, NC; Previous pastorates: Oak Grove Baptist Church,
Lake Toxaway, NC; Eagle Heights Baptist Church, Shepherdsville, KY.
