About H'ville First
As a Great Commission church, First Baptist exists to help as
many people as possible commit their lives to Jesus as Lord and equip them to
obey Him as Lord in their lives here and through missionary efforts around the
world.
HFB celebrated its 150th Anniversary on October 8, 1994. The church was
founded October 8, 1844 by fourteen charter members when Hendersonville was a
small village of fewer that 500 persons. In October of 2000, church
membership was in excess of 3,400. God has richly blessed First Baptist
Church!
