About Mount Olivet
Mt. Olivet is a growing church with a big heart.  We worship in the old time Baptist tradition with Sunday School, song service with traditional hymns, and an emphasis on preaching from the KJV.

Mt. Olivet was organized around 1870 by a delegation called from Mud Creek Baptist Church under the leadership of Wesley Anderson, Noah Corn, Wiley Jones, and other community members.  The first three buildings were destroyed by fire in 1895, April 1945 and December 29, 1960.  The present building is a great blessing.  The church has had 37 pastors and has sent out 7 ordained minister's.

Note from the Pastor
We welcome all visitors and anyone who is interested in old-time praying, preaching, shouting and singing!
