About New Jerusalem
To reach the lost and unchurched and further the proclamation of the Good News of Jesus Christ by outreach, worship, fellowship, discipleship and service.  Our worship style is relayed and includes youth participation in cooperate worship time.  We support and believe in the valuable asset of young persons, but also seek and welcome all ages.  Everyone who wishes to worship God in spirit and in truth is welcome at New Jerusalem.
 
New Jerusalem organized on August 11, 2002 with 10 charter members.  It called Rev. David Blackwelder as its first pastor.  The church voted to become a member of the Carolina Baptist Association and was taken under watch care at the Fall, 2002 meeting at First Baptist East Flat Rock.
   
About the Pastor
Married to Mary, two children; Christopher born on November 14, 1980 and Nicholas born on October 15, 1983.  Attended and graduated from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in 1995.  Attended Mars Hill and Blue Ridge Community College, 1996-1997.  Presently attending Trinity Theological Seminary seeking a BA in Pastoral Counseling.
