As Seminary Extension Director for the Carolina Baptist Association, I would like to remind the pastors and church leaders of the partnering churches in our association of the following educational opportunity. In speaking with Dr. Dennis Williams at Southern Seminary, he shared with me that their extension in Greenville was doing well but that it needed more promotion since many students may not be aware of this opportunity. Please pass along this information to anyone you know that may be interested in taking Master's level courses close to home. By His Grace and For His Glory, Branton Burleson SOUTHERN SEMINARY OFFERS AFFORDABLE GRADUATE CLASSES IN GREENVILLE The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY has an extension center in Greenville, SC. Students may take courses leading to the 91 hour M.Div. degree program. Students desiring to take the 63 hour M.A.C.E. degree may complete their Bible and Theology requirements at the center. Accreditation policies require that 30 hours of a degree program must be taken on the Louisville campus. Special intensive J-Term classes conducted in a one week format on the Louisville campus assist students in meeting this requirement. The Greenville classes meet on Mondays at the Edwards Road Baptist Church with fall and spring classes scheduled. For information on the center, please go to the Seminary website: www.sbts.edu and click on admissions and academics. Then click on Academics at the top and click on Extension Centers and follow the links to the Greenville center. This provides information on registration, class schedules, fees and contact information. You may also call the office of external program for information: 800-626-5525 ext. 4390. Dr. Dennis E. Williams serves as director of the extension center program at Southern Seminary. |
