| WESTERN CAROLINA
PRAYER AND EVANGELISM CONFERENCE
April 13-14, 2010
It is almost time for
the Western Carolina Prayer and Evangelism Conference. We did not have
a conference in 2009 because the state conference was held at Biltmore
Baptist Church.
I am excited to
announce the details of this year’s conference. This year’s conference
will again be sponsored by the Baptist State Convention of North
Carolina, Carolina Baptist Association, Fruitland Baptist Bible
Institute, and Mud Creek Baptist Church.
The morning sessions
will be held at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, beginning at 9:30.
The evening sessions will be held at Mud Creek Baptist Church, beginning
at 7:00.
We are blessed to
have some wonderful speakers this year. Dr. Don Wilton will be sharing
with us in both sessions on Tuesday, and Dr. Richard Blackaby in both
sessions on Wednesday. Dr. Wilton is senior pastor of First Baptist
Church, Spartanburg. Dr. Blackaby along with his father, Dr. Henry
Blackaby, wrote
Experiencing God.
I hope everybody will mark their calendars and make arrangements to be
there.
This year’s theme is
“Experiencing God Through Prayer.” Dr. Wilton and Dr. Blackaby have
published new materials and books since our last conference. They will
have a table with some of their latest material and they will be
available to sign books.
This will be an
amazing opportunity to hear some great teaching on prayer. I also hope
we can use this time to experience God through prayer and deepen our
relationship with Him.
